Find out what's new!
This month, we mark World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day and VE Day on the 8th May — two powerful reminders of compassion, courage, and collective strength in times of crisis. Whether it’s humanitarian aid or honouring peace after conflict, it’s a moment to reflect on the difference people can make, together.
A massive good luck to everyone in exam season right now! Whether it's GCSEs, A-Levels, or uni assessments — you've got this. Just a reminder:
Take breaks.
Look after your mental health.
Ask for help if you need it.
You’re doing enough.
Your well-being matters just as much as your grades! We're committed to supporting you, so if you ever feel like there's too much going on, here's an article all about helplines: whether you just need someone to listen to you or want to get advice and directions, these are available to you.
We will not be releasing any updates until July to allow both our committee and our volunteers to focus on exams and other priorities. There will only be one session until July, that being the Coffee Catch-Up on the 31st of May - this session is here to offer a space to connect with fellow volunteers and take a break in a different environment if you need it. Everyone is welcome and there's no need to register, just join if you get some time and would like to meet others for a nice late morning chat.
We’ve been working a lot behind the scenes, from producing important documents and workpieces to support our mission, to ensuring that Kindness in Action continues to run swiftly by delivering sessions and continuing to support our amazing volunteers.
We're really excited for the future given the work we've been doing lately, it's all starting to come together and it's looking promising.
Stay tuned for more updates, and don’t forget to explore our latest resources and upcoming sessions! ❤️ #KindnessIsOurPower
Our EDI Workshop (originally planned for 4th May) will be rescheduled after exam season - due to low registration rates and attendance. Keep an eye out for full details in the July update — we’re skipping June so that we can all focus on ourselves and our academic milestones.
With a short pause in sessions and articles during exam season, we’ll be picking things back up in July — breaking through with an exciting July Update. However, our team will continue working behind the scenes during this pause to bring you exciting opportunities and—hopefully—an even better volunteering experience this summer.
From July onwards, we’re planning on:
Updating and improving our Accreditation programme (accreditation.kindnessinaction.org.uk)🏅
Bringing more sessions and other content across all sections 💬
Launching Calls to Action — fun, small ways to contribute to your community or global causes 🌱
Imagine small acts multiplied across the UK by lots of young people — that’s where real change begins.
We’re definitely excited for what’s coming this summer—and we hope you are too!
Check our website regularly, we're constantly updating things as we go, so keep an eye on our platforms.

We're working behind the scenes to bring you more opportunities.
